Our main areas of expertise and services are as follows: Consultation (feasibility study/economic viability study/quotation), planning (design planning/3D model/thermodynamic calculations/design testing), production (mechanical production/welding/electrical work/pressure tanks/acceptance, e.g. TÜV/final inspection), commissioning (documentation/personnel training). We a specialised and experienced market leader based in Augsburg, Germany, where the construction of gas balloons has a long history to draw on. The Riedinger balloon factory, founded by August Riedinger in 1897, produced the first gas balloons for the military. Ballonbau Wörner GmbH was formed in Augsburg in 1986 when the balloon factory was acquired from Leonhard Stuttgart. We specialise in the production of modern sport balloons, tethered (captive) balloons, airships and gas storage balloons for industrial use. Today, we oversee gas balloon projects all over the world and occupy a leading position on the market thanks to our 30 years of experience in the design, construction and approval of gas balloons of all kinds. Our high level of specialisation yields high quality technological solutions. Continual technical developments allow us to satisfy the individual wishes of our customers, and we attach great value to their opinion and experience in doing so.

Founded in 1995 by fellow engineers Frank Grosch and Ralph Wolfrum, the company has come to focus on designing, building, fully installing and commissioning systems for flue gas purification and energy recovery. Our systems are being put to work not only in western and eastern Europe, but also in North America, Asia and Australia. Our technical team is made up of process technology engineers, fluid mechanical engineers and electrical engineers, as well as chemists, physicists, designers, technicians and draughtsmen, all of whom are experts in their field. To ensure our high quality standards are maintained, our systems are subject to continuous checks and interim acceptance tests during production. This results in high levels of availability and safety in our systems.

We manufacture exclusively at our site in Germany using a method that we developed ourselves, in strict compliance with high quality and environmental standards. Our Hel-x fillers are easy-to-use, highly effective and offer low investment costs and running costs, making them not only an ecological choice but economical too. Hel-x fillers are used all around the world to treat municipal and industrial wastewater in MBBR and IFAS systems. They are also used by many customers in aquaculture and biogas plants.
