Our company was founded in 1954. In the early days of the company, fittings were produced by aluminium chill casting. At the start of the 1980s, zinc die-casting became an established part of production. Shortly afterwards, production was expanded to include the field of aluminium die-casting. Our successful company development is still shaped by a balanced relationship between tradition and progress. Today, we supply our discerning customer base across Europe – in industrial and medical technology, mechanical engineering and the automotive, construction and furniture industries – with products made by aluminium die-casting, zinc die-casting and aluminium chill casting. With our core competence in the areas of aluminium and zinc die-casting, as well as aluminium chill casting, our customers receive daily support in producing and supplying ready-to-install casting components.

Our patented casting resin system, ALWA MOULD D, is the fastest curing casting resin system in the world. It is very easy to process and does not need to be post-tempered. Our easy to use system has a pot life of only 20 minutes! Deep drawing can take place immediately after demoulding. From 1 to 2500 kg, everything from large bathtubs to small chocolate moulds can be cast. Commercial vehicle manufacturer Aixam has been successfully working with our system for years. With our innovative ALWA POR porous plates, the time-consuming drilling of vacuum holes is no longer necessary. They impress with high stability, compressive strength and a permanent temperature resistance of over 190 °C. ALWA POR is suitable for vacuum deep drawing and forming processes as well as aeration for aquariums, fish ponds and sewage treatment plants, ventilation of injection and blow moulds, all processes with hot air and steam, vacuum clamping technology, filter applications, air film sliding technology, foundry, etc.

We offer a comprehensive rapid tooling and prototyping service, from developing the concept to the first prototypes and then the final component design ready for series production. FEHRMANN Materials produces industrial-grade, high-performance aluminium and can meet the highest demands and requirements. We develop high-performance aluminium alloys for 3D printing, casting and extrusion applications for other vendors and we use these ourselves for the industrial production of sand-casting parts. Fehrmann is a one-stop shop distributor for established 3D printing metal powders such as tool steel powder (1.2709), stainless steel powder 316L, AlSi10Mg, TiAl6V4 powdered alloy (fine/coarse) and CoCr powder. By up scaling quantities, combined with optimised storage and quality assurance, we bring together the advantages of international trade to meet the availability and quality requirements of our customers and promote 3D printing. An additional focus is the development of an aluminium alloy (AlMgty®) with particular mechanical properties – known as high-performance alloys. These are used for casting (sand, chill and die casting) as well as in extrusion and additive manufacturing/3D printing (LPBF/SLM and DED).
